Dubai’s October Truck Restrictions: What Changes for Logistics and Commercial Districts
Truck restrictions effective from 1 October 2026 put route planning, permitted hours and delivery coordination in focus for Dubai businesses.
Dubai introduced updated restrictions on truck movements across selected roads from 1 October 2026, creating new considerations for logistics companies, commercial operators and businesses managing regular deliveries.
In the official announcement published on 26 September 2026, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority and Dubai Police set out the restrictions as part of wider efforts to manage traffic movement and improve road safety.
Where and When the Restrictions Apply
The restrictions vary according to the road and time of day. The following groups reflect RTA’s announcement; drivers should check current official information before travelling.
Round-the-Clock Restrictions
RTA lists Al Qudra Street, Al Meydan Street, all crossings and the Airport Tunnel among the locations with round-the-clock truck restrictions.
Restrictions from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm
This daily restriction applies to Sheikh Zayed Road, Beirut Street and the areas of Al Mizhar, Muhaisnah and Oud Al Muteena.
Three Daily Peak Periods
Airport Street, Oman Street and Damascus Street are subject to restrictions during these periods:
- 6:30 am to 8:30 am.
- 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
- 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm.
Emirates Road is excluded from the new decision. Drivers should still follow road signs, existing regulations and instructions from the relevant authorities.
Planning Deliveries Around Permitted Hours
The changes do not mean that trucks are unable to operate across Dubai. They regulate where and when heavy vehicles can travel, making route and schedule planning more important.
For logistics operators, the restrictions may affect delivery times, driver schedules and the selection of alternative roads. Businesses in commercial districts may also need to coordinate with suppliers, contractors and service providers to make sure deliveries are planned within permitted hours.
The effect will vary according to the location of each business, the route used and the type of vehicle involved. Companies should check official information rather than assuming that the same restriction applies across every part of Dubai.
Transport Access and Business Locations
Transport access forms part of the wider environment surrounding a residential or commercial location. The Prestige One Destinations section introduces the communities where the company’s developments are located.
Readers exploring office locations can consider Barsha Heights alongside The One by Prestige One. These pages provide commercial-location context; they do not establish a permitted truck route or delivery window for that development.

Check the Route, Not Just the District
The restrictions should not be treated as a direct indicator of property prices or future demand in a particular district. Property and business-location decisions depend on several factors, including access, infrastructure, surrounding services and individual operational needs.
Dubai’s updated truck restrictions highlight the importance of planning as the city continues to grow. Understanding the correct roads and permitted hours is essential to maintaining efficient and reliable movement across the city.
