Construction Technology and Sustainable Materials Take Centre Stage at Big 5 Global
Explore how Big 5 Global 2025 highlighted construction technology, sustainable materials and supply-chain resilience across Dubai’s building sector.
Technology, sustainable materials and more efficient ways of building took centre stage at Big 5 Global 2025, one of the region’s major events for construction and urban development.
According to the official announcement from the Government of Dubai Media Office, the 46th edition was scheduled to take place from 24-27 November 2025 at Dubai World Trade Centre. The event was set to bring the construction community together for product discovery, knowledge sharing and industry discussions.
Its programme centred on four priorities: resilient growth and supply chains, technology advancement, sustainable transformation and talent development. More than 60,000 products were expected to be presented across the exhibition and its co-located events, covering materials, equipment, building systems and services.
Sustainable construction formed an important part of the programme. The Big 5 Impact Trail was designed to guide visitors towards suppliers presenting greener materials and solutions that could contribute to lower emissions and more efficient use of resources. Specialised areas also covered developments in coatings, material science and energy efficiency.
Technology was highlighted through Digital Construction World. Solutions involving artificial intelligence, data intelligence, robotics, 3D printing and advanced project management were expected to show how digital tools could improve speed, accuracy and coordination across construction projects.
International suppliers and country pavilions were also expected to present materials and building solutions from different markets. This offered the industry an opportunity to explore a wider range of products and approaches at a time when supply-chain resilience remained an important topic for the Dubai construction industry.
However, technologies or materials displayed at an exhibition should not be considered widely adopted across every project. Their use depends on technical requirements, regulations, cost, performance and the specific needs of each development.
For verified information about individual developments, the Prestige One Construction Updates section provides dedicated progress updates, recent site imagery and key milestones as projects take shape across Dubai. Details about design features and materials should always be confirmed through official project information.
Big 5 Global 2025 reflected the discussions shaping construction today: how to build with greater efficiency, smarter technology and a more responsible use of materials.
